Claire Forlani and Dougray Scott Get Married |
Dougray Scott who played Ian (Susan Mayer’s ex-fiance)on Desperate Housewives has tied the knot with actress Claire Forlani.
Desperate Housewives actor Dougray Scott and actress Claire Forlani wed in a private civil ceremony in Italy on Friday, PEOPLE has learned.
"They’re both very excited," a source says about the newlyweds.
Forlani wore a custom-made strapless gown with a "classic, Old Hollywood feel" by designer Junko Yoshioka for Bonaparte-NY, says the source. She completed her look with a crystal hair pin by Swarovski and Jimmy Choo heels.
The bride’s father, Pierluigi, is Italian and helped his daughter plan the festivities for more than 100 guests. He told Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino that, at the reception at the family’s country home in Pievebovigliana, "I will be the official cook of the event."
The couple met a year and a half ago through a mutual friend. Scott, 41, proposed to Forlani, 35, in Los Angeles in September. "It was very romantic," Scott, who presented Forlani with a ring he designed, told PEOPLE. "I feel so lucky to have met her. She’s an amazing actress and human being. I’m very happy."
Scott recently played Teri Hatcher’s love interest on Housewives. Next up for the Scottish actor, who also starred in Mission: Impossible II, is the World War II movie The Cone Gatherer with Emily Watson.
Forlani has a recurring role on CSI: New York. She’s also appeared in films including Mallrats and Meet Joe Black.

| Teri Hatcher Wins a Glamour Award |

Last night was the 4th Annual Glamour Women of the Year awards. I bet you didn’t know that. I bet you also didn’t know that Teri Hatcher won an award there.
Oh yes! But not for her portrayal of Susan Mayer on “Desperate Housewives”. She got the Writer of the Year award for her book, “Burnt Toast”. The British awards featured mostly British recipients, which made Teri winning the award all the more significant.
Way to go, Teri!

Teri Hatcher and James Denton Talk About Their Desperate Housewives Wedding |
Teri Hatcher and James Denton, cast members on Desperate Housewives who play Susan Mayer and Mike Delfino, reveal their sentiments about their onscreen wedding, which will be featured on Sunday’s episode at 9/8C on ABC.
In the previous episode of Desperate Housewives, viewers learned that Susan decided to marry Mike instead of Ian, played by Dougray Scott. However, Gabby, played by Eva Longoria, took the opportunity to use Susan’s wedding to get married to Victor, played by John Slattery. Gabby offered $10,000 when Susan objected to the idea. After much arguing, the two girls eventually made up.
The question is what will now happen to Susan’s wedding? According Hatcher, Susan will get married in the forest on Sunday. "I think it is a scene that is really sweet and very simple," Hatcher has told ET Online. "After three years of waiting, I feel the audience will be satisfied. When we did the read-through of the script, Felicity [Huffman] was at the other end of the table and she went, 'Ah.' I thought, if you can make Felicity Huffman, go 'ah,' you're good."
As for Denton, he is a little worried about what will be next for Susan and Mike. He has told ET, "Unlike my marriage where the flame never died, in this TV marriage, it is something that I am concerned about. I think the writers are concerned, too, because you don't want to jump the shark. You want people to still be really fascinated with them."
On the other hand, Denton is aware that this TV marriage will bring forth a new saga to the drama. "Mike is going to be such a fish out of water with Julie [Susan’s daughter], I think there is going to be a lot of comedy from that. Plus, Mike still has a lot of stuff in his past that may come back to be a little difficult for them," he has added.

| Felicity Huffman's Movie Bombs |

Perhaps TV stars should stay away from the big screen. Following disastrous box office results for Matthew Fox's "We Are Marshall," "Desperate Housewives" co-star Nicolette Sheridan's "Code Name: The Cleaner" and Adam Brody's "In the Land of Women," Felicity Huffman's new movie "Georgia Rule" bombed at the weekend box office collecting a scant $5,9 million.
Veteran actress Jane Fonda and scandal-prone starlet Lindsay Lohan could not save the movie that had a reported budget of $60 million, which means it will have to earn over $100 million if the studio "Universal Pictures" is to reach the break-even point.
International distribution, DVD rentals and TV rights can help, but with initial box office so low, this movie will go down as a bomb.
The honchos at the studio who could not have been very happy to see the initial figures on Sunday morning, had already been at the end of their tether when they issued an unusual written reproach to Lohan during the production of the movie.
They called her conduct "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" and said it had "endangered the quality of the picture."

Eva Longoria has Flown to Paris to choose a Church for her Wedding |

The "Desperate Housewives" star is to wed basketball star Tony Parker on July 7 and is running out of time to pick a location.
Eva flew into the French capital on Monday (07.05.07) and the following day she and two girlfriends visited the clerical staff at St. Germain L’Auxerrois. The church is known as the ‘Parish of Kings’ because of its historic affiliation and its position next to the Louvre Museum.
The three women had lunch and then relaxed with some retail therapy at Left Bank’s Yves St. Laurent, Lola and Christian Lacroix boutiques.

Rumor: Tony Parker tries to escape wedding, loses |
Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria is busting a nut getting ready for her July wedding to NBA sports guy Tony Parker, only here's the catch -- Tony just doesn't seem that into her...
The National Enquirer -- that bastion of truthful reporting, we know -- reports that Eva flipped out and hopped a plane to Texas to confront her French sweetie when he casually told her, "We need to switch our July date to Christmas, because I'll be touring to promote my new rap album."
A furious Eva accused Tony of getting cold feet, reminding him that the plans are already in place for a July 7 wedding deadline in Paris.
Tony, in the meantime, countered with the ever-so-sensible: "I didn’t say we weren’t getting married -- I just wanted to postpone it to promote my album."
The dude has to promote his rap album, what?

| Kirkland Baker Joins Desperate Housewives |
In an attempt to improve and perk up the story lines that surround Wisteria Lane, ABC welcomes an additional asset who would do just that. Kirkland Baker, famed for her work on Frasier, will come on board on ABC’s Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning comedy-drama series, Desperate Housewives, as a co-executive producer. She will be joining fellow Frasier alums Anne Flett-Giordano and Chuck Ranberg, who also will work as co-executive producers on Desperate Housewives on the upcoming season.
Desperate Housewives has gained much critical acclaim since it premiered in October 2004, evident in its numerous awards and nominations such as Golden Globe’s Best TV Series: Musical or Comedy, and Screen Actors Guild’s Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Whether it’s the talented actors, the dramatic plot or the artistic direction, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly just what has caused the success of Desperate Housewives.
At any rate, it would be interesting to see what the combined efforts of Kirkland, Flett-Giordano and Ranberg, could do. Will they be able to bring the same kind of comedic tone and success to Desperate Housewives that garnered 39 Emmy awards for Frasier? Fans will just have to wait for season four to find out.

Polly Bergen Cast As Lynnette's Mom on Desperate Housewives |

May sweeps are just around the corner and that means stunt casting in TV land. Polly Bergen who played Gina Davis' Madame President's mom on ABC's "Commander In Chief" last season is coming to "Desperate Housewives" as a very, very different kind of mom.
According to TV Guide, Bergen who makes her first appearance in the May 20 season finale episode, will come to "help Lynette deal with a life-threatening health crisis" (so perhaps Susan isn't the one who gets cancer after all).
According to the actress "She shows up smoking and drinking; it should be a really fun character."
Meanwhile, as previously announced, M*A*S*H veteran Mike Farrell has been tapped to play Victor's billionaire dad (and Gaby's soon-to-be father-in-law).

Actress Marcia Cross, who is seen here going to the Farmer's Market with her husband Tom Mahoney and their twins on the weekend, is coming back to the "Desperate Housewives" set to film the season finale episode.
Following a 3-month hiatus (which seemed like a little over a month in the show's universe thanks to all the pre-empetions) Cross and her on-screen husband Kyle McLachlan return from their honeymoom for Gaby and Victor's lavish May wedding.

| Jesse Metcalfe gets Dumped |
Jesse Metcalfe has been dumped by girlfriend Nadine Coyle after he was caught sharing a passionate embrace with another girl.
The Girls Aloud singer was furious after seeing photographs of the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actor cuddling a mystery brunette in Los Angeles while she was working in Britain.
Nadine, who stuck by Jesse as he battled alcohol addiction during his recent stint in rehab, decided she would not tolerate his actions and called off their romance.
She told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s over between me and Jesse. I’m not the kind of girl to put up with nonsense like that.
“I’m disappointed, but what can I do? There’s no point hanging on when it gets to this stage.”
Last month, it was claimed Jesse was ready to propose to Nadine, after dating her for just over a year.

| Eva Longoria's Bridal Shower |
Bride-to-be Eva Longoria celebrated her wedding shower alongside her Desperate Housewives co-stars, with Teri Hatcher making a surprise appearance in a toilet paper frock to honour the occasion.
Embracing the spirit of the day, Hatcher joined some other unmarried guests in a competition to create the most fabulous loo roll wedding gown. Longoria played judge, playfully choosing Teri as the winner.
It appears that Longoria and Hatcher, 42, have buried the hatchet - the stars were rumoured to be feuding after Hatcher began dating Longoria’s ex-boyfriend, director Stephen Kay in November.
The star-studded party was held at Felicity Huffman’s pad in the Hollywood Hills, with the guest list also featuring Longoria’s other onscreen pals Nicollette Sheridan and new mum Marcia Cross.

Henderson: "Desperate Housewives Need To Socialize More" |
Josh Henderson believes tension among his female co-stars may have arisen because they never socialize off-set.
The actor, who plays Austin McCan in the hit show, says his co-stars, including Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria, only ever interact during filming or at work-related events.
He says, "I get asked about the tensions a lot. I've really never seen any problems or trauma. You know, the girls all have their own lives. They have boyfriends or families, so I suppose they don't hang out much as friends. But they're always going to parties and work-related nights out with the rest of the cast and they get on fine."

Meanwhile in other news, Longoria said that she's now being taken too seriously in the acting world reported The Gossip Girls.
"Probably 80 percent of the scripts I get are dramatic," said Longoria. "I've had very few sexy offers, to the point that I'm getting annoyed and going 'Hey! Where's the sexy stuff?' I'm going with the sexy roles for a long as I can, because women have an expiration date in this business.'"
